Question by wiljim47: What type plants grow best under a large pine tree?

60' Pine tree has a flower bed under it but nothing will grow there. I need to know what type plants will survive under it with all the pine needles that fall and put acid into the soil.

Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Pieris, ferns, most shade loving herbaceous perennials. Not sure why "nothing will grow there". If you describe what you've tried, what care you've given them, and a description of the soil and light, we might be able to help in more detail.
